The Dreaded ‘L’ Word

allman brothers and sisters

“People, can you feel it?…

Love is everywhere!” – Duane Allman

That’s everywhere. No matter where you are. Without exception.

Jane Wyman:

“The opportunity for brotherhood presents itself every time you meet a human being.”

… or puppy, or plant, or any living thing.

Renewed brotherhood, in essence ~ as yours foolie sees it, anyway ~ is our goal. Also, our very best pathway to the realization of that goal.

How powerful a tool does that make it in our kit of prospective attitudes and actions?

Read on, fellow sojourners of truth…

nobody has ever measured

“To enlarge or illustrate this power and effect of love is to set a candle in the sun.” – Robert Burton

“There is no limit to the power of loving.”

John Morton

love is a force

“Love is a force more formidable than any other…

… It is invisible ~ it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.” – Barbara de Angelis.

Theodore Dreiser:

“I believe in the compelling power of love. I do not understand it. I believe it to be the most fragrant blossom of all this thorny existence.”

Or, in the words of Ben Hecht:

“Love is the magician that pulls man out of his own hat.

make it work

How do we make it work in this moment, though?

Nothing could be simpler…

“All mankind love a lover.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

That being the case, then:

“The only way to have a friend is to be one.” (Same wise guy)

Good clue.

So, how is it that friends behave toward one another?

Betta start anotha page fa dis one, ya?…

kahlil gibran

“Love… it surrounds every being and extends slowly to embrace all that shall be.”

Khalil Gibran
